April News

Hi, Brownie Troop Families!

First, a big THANK YOU to all of you for sending in the cleaning supplies to our last meeting. We had a very successful and fun time getting the Richmond Staff Room in good order. Wow! If we could only get these girls to help do this to their own rooms, right?! LOL The teachers were very surprised and appreciative. We were able to give the teachers a clean staff room, new tablecloths for their tables, beautiful centerpieces—made by the girls, and a Cuisinart K-cup Coffee maker along with a great collection of K-cups to get them started. Many thanks to Jen Vojvodich for helping us clean and to the Naylor family for donating the coffee maker and helping us get the K-cups at a discount.

I have heard YES from Maddy Esser, Elise Weiss, Maddy Praderelli, Jordan Melton, and Kyra Vojvodich for roller skating. I have submitted the names for the even being held at Waukesha Skateland on Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 a.m. until noon. The cost is $6 per Girl Scout which includes skate rental.  We will need at least one parent to stay for the event. You do not have to skate, but would be our “chaperone”.  All of you are welcome to stay, of course.

If you are interested in attending summer Brownie Day Camp, be sure to contact Erin Hooge. Thanks so much for organizing this, Erin!

Our next morning is April 17th at Richmond in room #137 from 5:00-6:00 p.m.. We will wrap our service project experience and have some outdoor fun!

Our final meeting is scheduled for May 15th. Rather than having our typical meeting, we decided to have an adventure and earn our Brownie Legacy snacks badge. We will be meeting on 5/15 but from 4:30-6:00 at Panera Breads at 690 Westfield Way  Pewaukee, WI 53072. Attached is a permission slip. We would like you to print it out, fill it out, and send it in along with a check (made out to Troop 4722) or $15 cash. We will have extras printed out and available at the April meeting as well.

Lastly, a Survey Monkey survey will be heading your way shortly with input on 3rd Grade Brownies for 2013-2014. We are also exploring an overnight camping opportunity for the girls this summer. More info to come soon!

Thanks!
